History

The 'Warrick Grove' property was purchased in April 2003 and since then much has been achieved.

The search for appropriate land for a quality olive grove commenced in 2001 going as far north as Laura, south to McLaren Vale and into the Barossa Valley. Wine country fits well with growing olives and featured highly in the search.

IMPORTANT MILE STONES:

2003 - In April purchased the 20 acre block on Leasingham Road Watervale, overlooking Annie's Lane's vineyards and opposite Reilly's Winery.

2004 - In August secured irrigation water.

2004 - 2008 - Planted 2000 Australian native trees on the property.

2005 - From April to June a grove of 5000 FS17 olive trees planted.

2008 - On May 10th completed our first harvest.   Hand harvested one tonne which produced 250 litres of excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This oil was enjoyed by  friends, family and locals who recognised the quality of the oil.

2009 - On April 3   'Warrick Grove'   became certified signatories to the Australian Olive Association's 'Code of Practice'.

2009 - On May 4th completed the first commercial harvest of 12.5 tonnes, picked early, which produced 2,500 Litres of quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

2009 - On July 5th opened the Cellar Door at 'Warrick Grove'.
